Cataloging and Classification Department

The department carries out cataloging and classification operations and applies them in the library's electronic system, coordinates with the other sections of the library in other to complete the process of entering the data about the books and activate their use electronically, supervises and trains the staff of the department. It also responsible for the application of the international standards for indexing (Mark 21, and Anglo American cataloguing Rules Ed. 2), following-up the latest developments with regard to cataloging and classification and submitting it to the Director of the library, and any other tasks assigned to the department.
